Reside, work or attend school in the local areas of Chelan, Douglas County or in a county east of the Cascades Mountains.

Be a United States citizen.

Age Eligibility

Be 14-18, no older than 18 on the first day of Teen state competition week. And no older than 27 on the first day of Miss WA state competition week.

Our Teen and Miss contestants will compete in the following phases:

PRIVATE INTERVIEW:

(Miss: 10 Minutes, Teen: 8 Minutes)Candidates are scored on overall first impression, professional appearance, personality, intelligence, articulation and ability to form an opinion, while confidently conversing with our panel of judges.

HEALTH & FITNESS:

In your 20 seconds fitness modeling poses, Judges will be looking for posture, grace, a sense of confidence, presence and personality. Contestants will wear REBEL Athletic. click here to view options: Miss America Organization – Rebel Athletic.

TALENT (90 seconds):

TALENT (90 seconds):

Candidates are scored on their entertainment value, technical skill, personality, interpretive ability, entertainment and stage presence. Props are allowed but must be approved by the Director. Additional information and guidance will be provided for this and all phases of competition.

EVENING GOWN

Contestants are scored in this competition based on their sense of confidence, personality and stage presence, appropriateness of attire, posture and elegance.

ON STAGE QUESTIONS

Contestants will wear their opening production number outfits for this phase, and are judged on their ability to formulate a clear opinion and articulate their thoughts to the audience within their 20-seconds answer.

2024 Miss America’s MAGIC EXPO at Universal Loews Sapphire Falls Resort

ORLANDO, FL (Dec 7, 2023) – Miss America Headquarters is delighted to announce the first ever Miss America MAGIC EXPO at the 2024 Miss America & Miss America’s Teen National Competitions in Orlando, Florida. EXPO Hours are 10am-6pm Tuesday, January 9 through Saturday, January 13, 2024. Credentialed guests receive complimentary VIP Expedited admission, all others must present either a student ID, or Driver’s License for admittance. Adjacent to the Expo, this year’s Receptions/Visitations will be held for VIP Access credentialed guests Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9pm-11pm following the preliminary competitions at the host hotel. VIP Access credentials go on sale the weekend of December 9/10, 2023.

The Tuesday Visitation Reception is sponsored by the Official Fitness Partner Rebel Athletic and will showcase the Miss America’s Teen three (3) preliminary winners of fitness, and evening gown, who are each be awarded $3000 in scholarship, for a total of $18,000 in scholarship awarded on stage earlier that evening.

Wednesday’s Visitation Reception will highlight the launch of the new Miss America branded publication “Officially HER Magazine” and showcase the Miss America’s three (3) preliminary winners of fitness and evening gown, each earning $3000 in scholarship, for a total of $18,000 in scholarship awarded on stage that night.

Thursday’s Visitation Reception theme is “Hard Rock’N’Roses” immediately following the new preliminary dinner talent show, “Miss America’s Got Talent” at the Hard Rock Live in Universal’s CityWalk and will recognize the Miss America and Miss America’s Teen talent winners, three each, earning $3000 in scholarship for a total of $18,000.

In just six weeks, State delegates across America and the District of Columbia will converge on Orlando for the ultimate in competitions. Following a personal interview, and three action-packed preliminary nights showcasing talent, fitness, and eveningwear, two young women will be crowned the new 2024 Miss America and Miss America’s Teen during the final shows Saturday, January 13, and Sunday, January 14, 2024.
