Miss East Cascades 2022
Kenzie Hammond’s platform was Earth Day Every Day. She performed a wildlife presentation as her talent, educating and entertaining the audience about amphibians. She is graduate of Oregon State University with a Masters of Fish and Wildlife Administration and currently works at Friends of Columbia Gorge as their Youth and Education Program Coordinator.
Miss East Cascades 2020/2021
Abby Faulk’s platform was “You Matter: There is Value in Tomorrow” focusing on mental health awareness and fighting for access to resources. She competed at Miss Washington 2021 singing “No One is Alone” from the musical “Into the Woods” and finished with a top ten placement. She is double majoring in Fashion Merchandising and Dance performance at Central Washington University. She plans to graduate in 2023.
Miss East Cascades 2019
Jaylah Young’s platform was called Adult-ish: The Survival Guide, focusing on the need for life skills training for all ages. She competed at Miss Washington with a standup comedy routine. She began classes at Eastern Washington University in the fall of 2020.
Miss East Cascades 2018
Melanie Garza’s platform was “Healthy Body, Healthy Mind” which worked to amplify the connection between healthy habits and mental health. She graduated from Central Washington University in 2020 with a degree in accounting and a minor in music. She has since moved to the Wenatchee valley and has accepted a position at a prestigious accounting firm. She continues to volunteer her time to her community.
Miss East Cascades 2017
An accomplished dancer and dance instructor in Wenatchee, Cora Van Lith was the winner of the non-finalist talent competition at the Miss Washington pageant in 2017. She is a graduate of Wenatchee High School, Wenatchee Valley College, and Washington State University.
Miss East Cascades 2016
Brianna Eddy was the winner of the Beta preliminary talent competition at the Miss Washington pageant, and placed in the top ten overall. She has since earned two masters degree in piano pedagogy and performance, and is now earning her doctorate at West Virginia University.
Miss East Cascades 2015
Christa Weddle, from Bothell, WA, spent years dreaming of ways she could inspire and serve the people within her community. She fell in love with the program from her first attended practice and has since worked to grow the program and become a major presence in the community. She currently travels internationally for her managerial position with Amazon Global.
Miss East Cascades 2014
Ashley Lowers, a native of Cashmere, WA, became Miss East Cascades during her sophomore year at Washington State University where she was studying chemical engineering. As a title holder she worked her platform, STEM education and promoted hard work and perseverance.
Miss East Cascades 2013
Lacey Ebert from Montesano, WA used her reign as an outstanding opera singer to make numerous appearances throughout the Miss East Cascades region working for her platform, Relay for Life. As Miss East Cascades, Ebert was a top 10 state finalist at Miss Washington. She is now happily married to her college sweetheart and is a second grade teacher still serving and educating children in her community long after her reign ended.
Miss East Cascades 2012
Connie Morgan, from Hoquiam, WA, was the first Miss East Cascades. As a talented singer and champion collegiate athlete who grew up on a farm, Morgan is passionate about the arts, fitness and academia. She graduated debt free with a double major in Economics and Public Relations from Central Washington University and is now serving the country in the U.S. armed forces.
